WIP Wednesday 1.1

Hi! How's the new year treating you? Mine is going pretty well.... I'm busy, busy, busy, but that is normal for me!

Today I'm rotating between three different projects, a Baktus scarf, a test knit cowl, and a market bag. My main goal is to finish the Baktus scarf by this weekend, and the cowl by the 15th..... Hoping I can make it!

I also found out that my town, which I have previously moaned the lack of a yarn shop, has a yarn shop! Well, truth be told, it is a quilting store with a room full of yarn. It has yummy yarn! Rowan, Cascade Heritage Silk, Addi Turbo needles...... It offers classes and has a monthly Sit & Knit! Yay!

I limited myself to a quick 20 minute shop, and found a long list of yarns I want, but I only bought a gorgeous stormy grey Cascade Heritage Silk that is going to become a test knit shawl as soon as I'm done with the test knit cowl......

Well, back to the grindstone for me! I have to get these projects done so I can work up the first sample of a new design! Stay tuned for more information!

Don't forget to check out Tami's Amis for more WIP Wednesday posts!

Happy Wednesday!

  1. Lucky you. There is just one place to buy yarn in my village, and that's the post office. Nothing there has more than 25% wool and the colours range from gaudy to hideous. I would LOVE to have a LYS I didn't have to drive to.

    Your yarn choice is lovely!
