WIP Wednesday 1.2

Hi! How's everyone been these past few days? Sorry about missing last week..... I had so much going on that it totally slipped my mind to come say hi!

This week I'm alternating between two projects. One is a test knit for a gorgeous shawl that I can't wait to show you once the pattern has been released. The other is a sock.

I was loving working with my 9" circular needle for this sock. It made knitting so much easier without having to "tame the octopus legs" I normally have to do when working with DPNs. My 9" broke. Happy I am not. But then I remembered I had two 16" Addis in the same size, so I switched over to using two circular needles. I LOVE IT. Seriously, why have I resisted this technique for so long? This is my absolute favorite way (so far) of knitting socks. And aren't they pretty?

I'm using Premier Yarns Serenity Garden in Crocus. I love how the colors are coming out! I'm using the Malachite Butterfly Socks pattern by Verybusymonkey. I love the pattern! I am going to have to do a contrasting heel and toe, as I don't have enough yarn, I think, to have it all in the same yarn. I would have done a contrasting cuff as well, but someone (ahem, looking at you, (said to the me in the mirror) ) didn't notice the difference in yardage until she had already cast on and did the cuff. I might even have to rip out the cuff later on..... But I'm not going to worry about that until I get there..

What about you? What have you been working on? Don't forget to take a peak at Tami's Amis for more WIP Wednesday posts.

Happy Wednesday!
Deenna

    1. Definitely try it! My favorite method to date, and I've tried just about them all! Come back next week..... I will have a new picture to share, hopefully with the heel done!
