WIP Wednesday 1.17

Happy Wednesday!

How is everyone? I'm busy getting ready for my last set of Wednesday knitting classes this school year. Bittersweet afternoon it will be :(

I'm working on my Juego and loving the border! It is so simple and gorgeous! I'm seeing another one of these in my future! I also have my first sample finished for my new design and I'm quite pleased. I'll have teaser photos Friday for you! My design book is bursting, so I'm excited to have the summer to play with yarn and get some of these out of my brain and off the paper and on to your needles!!!!

I have to share this with you! My orchid has its first bloom! Isn't it gorgeous? I'm so excited to see all the blooms! I'd love to preserve one of the the blooms in resin. Has anyone done that?

WIP Wednesday 1.16

Happy Wednesday!!!

I'm having an okay Wednesday :(

The Hap Blanket I was making? Remember? The woman I am knitting it for, her husband finally passed away Sunday and I'm having a hard time making progress. I get too emotional and I just can't knit on it.

I have only 4 more class days left before the school year ends. I've had my ups and downs with these kids. Mostly downs with one particular class, but I'm going to miss them.

Then there is everything going on in the news. Seriously. Have you seen the news? Natural disasters, shootings, a seven year old dying of baterial meningitis where my sister works, lots and lots of people dying of just natural causes, and young people at that! This month is a bad month. So. Go give the first person you see after reading this a hug. They need it. You need it. We all need hugs right now.

So. Hap Blanket is on hold until I can knit without crying. Which means I'm still knitting on my newest design and on my Juego shawl! Isn't Juego pretty?

I'm almost finished with the third clue, then it's on to the fourth! I'm so excited to see how this all comes together!

FO Friday 1.13

Happy Friday!!!

No FO for me :( I'm still working on my Juego and my Hap Blanket this weekend, and I get to add in there some (read about 150) stitch markers. But! I get to play with beads! I have mentioned before I like shiny things, right? I really really like shiny things! The more sparkly the better! :D

OH! OH! OH! OH! OH! OH! OH! OH! OH! OH! OH! OH! OH!

I'M EXCITED!!!

Guess what I didn't do this winter!?!?!?! I didn't kill my orchid! SEE!!!!!

WIP Wednesday 1.15

Happy Wednesday!!!

How has everyone been? I've been doing okay.... I think I'm getting used to the new medication that my doctor prescribed for the migraines.... But last weekend wasn't so great so I wound up not doing anything. Which meant that I had to reschedule my hair appointment for June :( But this gives me time to decide exactly what I want done, so this is a good thing!!!

And being down all weekend meant I got to get some good progress in on my Juego whatever-it-is-going-to-turn-out-to-be-KAL. I'm hoping for a shawl! I think I have all the issues figured out on the chart for my newest design, so hopefully my poor testers won't have any more issues on that aspect of it! I was working on that today in class and my students thought it looked really pretty, which made me happy :D

FO Friday 1.12

Happy Friday!

I hope everyone's week treated them well. I'm just glad tomorrow is Saturday. I am going to go get my hair trimmed and talk with my stylist about doing some highlights. I'm ready for a tiny change in my hair, ya' know? :D

No FO for me this week... I'm still slowly working on Juego and Hap. I had some issues with the pattern for my new design... Hopefully those have all straightened themselves out and it won't bother me any more. Especially since I just posted a call for testers! :D

I hope the weekend is amazing for everyone!
